MCMORROW FOR A BRIGHTER TOMORROW

As an industrial designer who cut my chops in the automotive and consumer products industries, I’m constantly inspired by Michigan’s history of design, innovation, and manufacturing. Southeast Michigan invented the American automotive industry, created the middle class, reshaped culture, design, and architecture - and the world followed.

And we did it all surrounded by 80% of the country’s fresh water supply in our stunning Great Lakes.

There is no place or people with more pride and potential than Michigan and Michiganders. But you wouldn’t know it based on the news of the past few years: schools dropping towards the bottom in the nation, fewer teachers entering the profession than ever before, dangerous and permanent chemicals in our water supply and lakes, young people leaving the state for opportunity elsewhere.

It’s time we fight for a Michigan that works for everyone - one that’s inspired by our past while always pushing forward together.
