Mallory McMorrow Joins Teamsters Nurses at Practice Picket in Troy

MICHIGAN — Tonight, Michigan Senate Majority Whip and U.S. Senate candidate Mallory McMorrow joined Teamsters nurses from Local 2024 at a practice picket at Corewell Health East, demanding better working conditions, fair wages, safe nurse-to-patient ratios, and affordable health insurance.

“Nurses are the very people who take care of us on our worst days when we need them, and now it’s on us to have their backs when they need us,” said McMorrow. “They’re asking for the essentials in order to provide the best care to our loved ones: good wages, safe patient staffing ratios, and healthcare worthy of the care they provide. The very least we can do is show up and fight for those who take care of us when we need it most.”

Mallory McMorrow has been endorsed by UA Local 357, UA Local 370, the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers Transportation Division, and the Utility Workers of America union.
