McMorrow Draws Packed House in Lansing
MICHIGAN – Last night, Michigan Senate Majority Whip and candidate for U.S. Senate Mallory McMorrow drew a crowd of 100+ voters at Kelly’s Irish Pub in Lansing for another stop on her McMorrow on Tap Brewery Tour.
Mallory addressed the crowd and spoke about healing divides in our politics and building “a vision of the future that people can see themselves in” regardless of party.

An excerpt of her remarks is below:
“There's this attitude that we all believe in Michigan so much, and that's not always reflected in what we see in our politics, because we're a battleground, and people want to target us as the place where there's division. There's not. I have really good relationships on the other side of the aisle. When I'm up north, I check in with them, and I say, who should I sit down with? Who should I meet with?
“And there's an openness and a willingness to come together. And I really fundamentally believe right now, the dam is breaking. People are tired of the hate. They're tired of the division. They are tired of having that one family member at Thanksgiving that you just can't talk to anymore.

“We have to lead differently. And that's why I talk about building a better tomorrow, because it's not enough just to say Donald Trump is bad, because that's not a vision of the future that people can see themselves in.
“So I hope that this campaign brings together a lot of people who wouldn't normally come together, not only just Democrats, Republicans, Independents, people who believe in kindness and decency, people who believe that we can be strong and we can be kind, and that those two things are not mutually exclusive, people who believe that we can look out for our most vulnerable and ensure that everybody has an opportunity for the American dream.”
The stop is part of McMorrow’s statewide tour visiting local breweries and bars to connect directly with voters and invite candid, unfiltered conversations with Michiganders about their top issues.
