Mallory McMorrow for U.S. Senate

PRESS RELEASE

McMorrow Leads Michigan Senate Field in Dollars Raised, Expands Grassroots Advantage

After Q3 primary reports, Mallory McMorrow has expanded her fundraising lead in the US Senate primary in Michigan, receiving contributions from all 83 counties in Michigan. To date, McMorrow has raised $3.85 million –– outpacing both Rep. Haley Stevens ($3.19 million) and Abdul El-Sayed ($3.57 million).

The fundraising advantage is powered by an unprecedented grassroots operation, with McMorrow raising $1.89 million over the course of the cycle from grassroots donors — representing nearly 50% of her total contributions. This dwarfs her opponents' grassroots support combined, with Stevens at $413,000 and El-Sayed $849,000.

In Q3, McMorrow more than doubled El-Sayed's small-dollar fundraising ($901k vs. $412k) and tripled Stevens' grassroots haul ($901k vs. $250k). More than 97% of donations to McMorrow's campaign were $100 or less.

Recent election data shows that successful Senate candidates who defeated Republicans in competitive races consistently maintained grassroots support in the mid-30s to over 50% range. McMorrow's near 50% grassroots percentage places her squarely in this winning tier compared to Abdul El-Sayed at 24% and Haley Stevens at 13% grassroots support.
